The Bastard - Concept

I wanted the Bastard to be a wise soul who could guide the Widow through her rage. She needs a teacher, both in life and in war, and he's had more than his fair share of both. I didn't want a svelte young man here - the Widow needs a father figure, and a bear of a man who can stand behind her and look intimidating when necessary. The red is for warfare but the offset of blue is for calmness of mind - two things the Widow needs in a first mate.
